Every four years, metropolitan planning organizations such as COMPASS undergo a federal review to determine if federal planning requirements are being met to ensure that federal transportation funding continues to flow to the region.
In May 2022, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) will review the COMPASS regional transportation planning process. To help conduct the review, FHWA and FTA are soliciting public feedback and comments on COMPASS and its planning efforts.
