Neighborhood Meeting – October 1 at 6:00PM

A proposed development at Whitewater Blvd and Moore Street by Gardner Group will be explained at Whitter Elementary Library today at 6PM. If you can attend, please do! The proposed development includes townhomes and single-family homes.

Emergency Preparedness Workshop – October 22 at 6PM

Ada County Emergency Management is hosting free informative classes to help folks prepare for emergencies and disasters that may affect our community. City Council Candidate Forum – October 23 at 7PM

A candidate forum for Boise City Council District 6 will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 7:00 PM at Pierce Park Elementary in Boise. This free, nonpartisan event will feature candidates Jimmy Hallyburton (incumbent), Lisa Sanchez, and Lynn Bradescu. The West End Neighborhood is represented by District 6.

This forum gives voters the chance to hear directly from the candidates about their priorities, ideas, and perspectives on the issues that matter most to Boise’s neighborhoods and residents. Candidates will present their vision for the city, answer questions from the moderators, and participate in a respectful exchange of views to help inform voters ahead of the election.

Fairview Park Construction Continues

Fairview Park renovation is well underway For more information about the Fairview Park improvements, click here.

From City of Boise’s project manager Jason Miller, provided the following update:

  • The project is on schedule and expected to complete by the end of the year.
  • The playground equipment purchase should be reviewed by city council in September and installation to being shortly afterwards.
  • The tennis courts will be striped in September once final post tensioning is complete.
  • Utilities are going in now and the contractor will be following utilities with concrete walks in September.
  • Restroom will be receiving the designed upgrades in September/ October.

The southeast corner of the park will not be affected by the renovation project.
