Ada County Emergency Management is hosting free informative classes to help folks prepare for emergencies and disasters that may affect our community. There’s no need to go to every session – just pick the date and location that works best for you. Free Tree Program

The Treasure Valley Canopy Network is again offering a free tree per household. WENA Board Meeting – September meeting is cancelled

September’s meeting cancelled, due to lack of a quorum with several board members traveling.

Next meeting is October 21 at 6:30PM at the First United Congregational Church on 23rd Street between Pleasanton and Woodlawn.

Fairview Park Construction Continues

You may have notice Fairview Park renovation is underway For more information about the Fairview Park improvements, click here.

From City of Boise’s project manager Jason Miller, the construction schedule is as follows:

  • The project began July 15 and is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
  • The park website will be updated as the project progresses.
  • The contractor is working with ACHD and there will be intermittent closures on Bannock as the ADA access is installed.  Notifications will be per ACHD requirements.
  • Construction hours are 7 to 6:30 weekdays and 8 to 6:30 on weekends with prior approval.  No weekend work has been requested to date.

The southeast corner of the park will not be affected by the renovation project.
