Call for WENA Board Candidates
Board elections are near and the WENA board has a minimum of three seats with terms that expire this year. There is one open seat because long-time board member Anita Claridge will not run for another term. The board thanks Anita for her years of service as Treasurer and Grants/Fundraising committee member.
Two members are on the ballot for another two-year term, Justin Buckley and Tasmyn Raleigh. Four board members will remain on the board until their terms expire May 2026, David Anderson, Katie Early, Andrea Bogle, and Lauren Pennisi.
If you are interested in becoming a candidate, send an email to board@westendboise.org.
The board has a minimum of seven board members and as many as 11 seats. Each seat serves a two-year term. Three seats are up for election in even years and four seats in odd years. Any additional seats will be added to either odd or even year cadence per board decision.
WENA Annual Meeting – May 20 at 6:30pm
On Tuesday, May 20, beginning at 6:30pm, WENA will hold its annual meeting where the board will report on the past year’s accomplishments and its plans for the coming board year.
In addition to the regular board meeting, representatives from Parks and Rec will explain the upcoming construction plan and schedule for Fairview Park, which will be renovated this year. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the project.
Lastly, there will be an election for open board seats. To vote, you must be present and a member of the West End neighborhood. The meeting will be held at the First Congregational Church on 23rd between Pleasanton/Woodlawn.
